Dolomite is dolomitic limestone, made of a combination of calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate that neutralises acidity in soils. It is a rich source of calcium and magnesium, important nutrients for plant health. By making soils more alkaline, Mudgee Dolomite unlocks many essential minerals, including nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, sulphur, calcium, magnesium, and most trace nutrients, making them available to plants to boost growth.

Mudgee Dolomite works to neutralise soil acidity faster than calcium carbonate alone due its magnesium content. It provides longer-term pH adjustment and buffering, improving pH stability due to its magnesium component. Late veterinarian Pat Coleby made Mudgee Dolomite famous as her preferred dolomite in her livestock and animal licks. It is ground to a fine powder and is relatively soft for a dolomitic rock.

Application Rates:

Light sandy soil: 50-100g/square metre
Heavy soil: 100-200g/square metre
Lawns: 30-40g/square metre
Spread evenly over the surface, rake or dig in and water in well.
Avoid acid-loving plants like azaleas, camellias and blueberries.
